Jesus Christ Honors the Beggar – Ask And You Shall Receive
Many slanderous words have been used to describe people who
ask for personal donations from other people.
Askers have been referred to as: beggars, panhandlers, no good for nothings,
slouches, sluggards, lazy, fakers, malingerers, and the list goes on and on.
But Jesus Christ lifts up such people from their lowly estates, and
honors them when he said: Ask, and You Shall Receive!
Jesus Christ shows us that there is no crime in asking, but he gave us the
right to ask.
Why Don’t I Get What I Ask For Then?
But I have wondered about what jesus said, because I have tried asking
for stuff in the past, and yet I did not get what I wanted or asked for.
How can it be, that Jesus said I would receive, but I do not receive what I
asked for?
How come, instead of receiving what I asked for, I get judged instead,
and people may try to slander or defame, or heap scorn on me, or even
become threatening at times. At other times, they might tell the asker
that they must leave, and they are not allowed to ‘beg’ at certain places
(the places where the person might actually get some money, but they are
pushed around, and roughed up, and forcibly removed if necessary)
Due to the fact that people tend not to give me what I ask for, therefore
I have had to try and figure out what jesus was saying from a different perspective.
I reason that what Jesus may intend to mean, is that when I ask, I will always
receive something, but Jesus never said I would receive what I asked for.
I know, I know, it seems that Jesus meant us to receive what we wanted,
as though Jesus implied that, but actually, Jesus did not specifically
say we would get what we asked for. Jesus only said that we would receive, when we ask.
Therefore, we must look at what we do receive if/when we ask for anything.
Sometimes we might get what we asked for.
Other times, or most of the time, we do not get what we asked for;
but what did we receive?
Think about it. What did you receive, when you did not get what you were asking
for?
1- Perhaps you got judged
2- Perhaps you were slandered
3- Perhaps they gave you the evil eye
4- Perhaps they thought to do something perverse to you or with you?
5- Perhaps they referred you to someone else, who in turn just refers you
somewhere else, until eventually you just gave up, because they were just
giving you the runaround?
6- Some people actually do give, but they might give you something different,
because they don’t want you to buy cigarettes or alcohol or drugs(ok, but
they are judging in the first place, but at least they give something good, instead of nothing or instead of something bad)
It seems to me, that when I asked, then I was receiving ‘things’, but what the
heck do I do with what I was getting?
Sometimes it may be that I was devalued, or dehumanized, or perhaps they deny
my entire life experiences and think that I am mentally ill or delusional,
nuts or psychotic? And all I did was just ask for something like 1 dollar or
something like that.
The Justified Worker, But ‘They’ Won’t Justify People Who Ask
It was obvious when asking, that people do think that you should get it for
yourself, instead of asking.
Ok, so they try to tell you to ‘get a job, you bum’, without thinking that
perhaps some people are having troubles in their lives that prevents them
from working, or other money troubles.
Did ‘they’ ever think that maybe its just a temporary situation, and
maybe the asker really does not need all the moralizing, or judgements at all?
Maybe I just blew some money by mistake or someone stole some money off of me,
and I don’t have enough now, but I’ll be ok when I get my next paycheque?
Usually people seem to think less of a person who asks to receive,
rather than work to receive. But if its just a temporary thing, ok, but if it lasts too long, then watch out, you might start to lose some ‘friends’.
The worker is justified?
But the asker is not justified?
But the workers might get upset about the fact that Jesus offers some
justifications to the askers, when he said:
Ask and you shall receive.
And if Jesus said so, then it comes with power. ( I don’t know if the asker is
justified or not though)
But the thing is, are the people who won’t give, are they justified with jesus
though?
That is a question I wish some people would ponder more often.
People who work who have, who insist they are justified based on works,
who also will not allow askers to be justified? That is what I see in the world
often or usually.
But unfortunately, people in the world, are the way they are, and that doesn’t
seem to be changing in my life time, and often the askers get bullied by the
justified worker type thinking, and people refuse to justify the asker at times.
So that, this matter seems to be in some kinds of contentions in the world.
The askers are usually having little, less or no powers in the world,
whereas the justified worker is empowered because they work for what they got,
and there ain’t no free lunches(you may have heard this if you ever spent time
asking)..
The ‘Haves’ and the ‘Have-Nots’
It seems to me, that there is no peace in this matter, or only at times, only
if the justified workers, or haves, simply give to the have-nots and give
what they asked for too. And then there is peace somewhat at times.
Jesus Came To Bring A Sword
Quoted from the New American Standard Bible (NASB) translation of the bible:
Do not think that I came to bring peace on Earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it. (Matthew 10:34–39)
Unequal Powers Between The Askers And Those They Asking Of
Ok, there is the problems of unequal powers, between the askers and the
people they are asking. There are unequal powers between the ‘haves’ and the
‘have-nots’.
Whose Will Will Be Done ?
So that it may become a matter of whose will is most forceful, and usually,
the haves are the ones who force their wills, and there isn’t anything
the have-nots can do about it.
The state powers also tend to enforce the rights and powers of the haves,
but at the same time, they do also enforce the loss of powers or powerlessness
of the have-nots.
Its not a pretty sight. The haves forcing their wills against the have-nots.
But it is nice if the haves give when the have-nots ask for something,
and especially if they give them what they want, without judging, and
are cheerful about it.
The Lord loves a cheerful giver.
Many sins will be forgiven to people who give.
Sometimes you might think it is almost against the law to even ask for anything,
and sometimes the state powers make laws forbidding asking, in different ways.
But Jesus gave us the right to ask to receive.
This is a very big topic, and I could write and write about this for a long time,
but I think I kind of got my point across, although I am not sure exactly
what my point is, but its kind of all of that, you know.
Anyways, askers might tire of being bullied and having scorn or mockery heaped on them,
or slanders etc…
But I created a website where askers can ask for bitcoin donations, and remain anonymous when they are asking, and givers can also remain anonymous if/when they give.
Askers can have their own bitcoin donation webpage at saveme.info
where they tell their story and ask people to donate some bitcoins to them.
Jesus made it ok to ask for donations, when he said:
Ask, and you shall receive. Very profound words from Jesus Christ.
Thank you for reading ( By the way, I am the owner of saveme.info where you can get your own bitcoin donation webpage, to receive bitcoin donations on the internet)
